Comparing Fractions With Same Numerators
When two fractions have the same numerators they are easy to compare. ⇒ The fraction with the smaller denominator is larger.
⇒ The fraction with the larger denominator is smaller.
Example: Which is bigger? 95 or 98
Answer
Since the fractions have same numerators, compare the denominators.
Since 5 is smaller than 8, therefore 95 is bigger.
