Equivalent Fractions
Some fractions look different from one another, but deep down they are actually equivalent. Equivalent fractions are the same when they are in their simplest form.
Equivalent Fractions Meaning: Fractions that name the same part of a whole or a set are called equivalent fractions. 12 , 24 , 36 , 48 are equivalent. Visually it looks like this:

To find equivalent fractions, multiply or divide the numerator and denominator of the fraction by the same nonzero number. This does not change the value because it is the same as multiplying or dividing by 1.

Choose the number you divide by carefully, so that the results (both numerator and denominator) stay whole numbers. If we keep dividing until we can't go any further, then we have simplified the fraction.
Here are some more equivalent fractions, this time by dividing:

How to check two fractions are Equivalent fraction?
Simplify all fractions. If they reduce to be the same fraction, then the fractions are equivalent.
Example : Let's check the fractions fractions 410 and 915 are equivalent.
410 = 4 ÷ 210 ÷ 2 = 25
915 = 9 ÷ 315 ÷ 3 = 35
The fractions 25 and 35 are not same, hence fractions are not equivalent.
